FactorEarth™ Explore is an app that reveals the stories around us using virtual reality. It immerses us in meaningful experiences about our culture, environment, history, and more.
Our platform makes it easy for museums, historical societies, nonprofit heritage organizations, and local communities to publish their content on a free and easily accessible app.

Celebrating the Power of place
With Explore, our heritage is immersive and accessible in revolutionary ways.
Explore uses 360 spherical images to create a virtual reality experience for users to discover your embedded content. It is a progressive web app, or PWA, meaning there’s no app store to visit or anything to download and keep updated. Users access Explore like any website from their mobile or desktop browsers. The app can then be added to the home screen and launched like a traditional app-store app. The content is offline-enabled and can be accessed wherever users are exploring.
Tell your story
The Explore app makes it easy for you to share your content by offering a space to tell your story using any media. Content on the app is organized into experiences, called Adventures, that users can discover. Adventures contain three or more 360 images. Each spherical image contains anchored content, or Discoveries, for user interaction.
Generate Funding
Preserving our heritage requires resources. Explore connects institutions with donors, sponsorships, and other opportunities to reach new audiences. Partners can sponsor the cost of your Adventure on Explore as a donation to your organization. Your sponsors can receive special recognition throughout the Adventure and app to help promote their brand and affiliate with your content.
Your Adventure can also include links to your organization’s website or fundraising tool to accept donations from users who have explored the Adventure and want to support your cause.
Reach a bigger audience
Every Adventure on the Explore app is connected, each helping to amplify the shared stories of our shared heritage. Users are also encouraged to keep exploring our new content with special rewards hidden throughout the adventures. Rewards are a great way for brands who wish to support your content to do so while also incentivizing visitors to visit their business.
